Are we Human or are we dancer?* (part 2)

[...]I experienced yet another Epiphany. The reason why WE, artists, struggle so hard with our (he)Art is because it.. simply.. is not ours. It made me think about a quote from the Bible that says "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out , that they might be made manifest that they all are not of us." (1 John 2:19). And I remember those days when I would sit in front of my computer for hours and nothing would happen: the page would remain blank. But then there are those moments when I feel like possessed or in a trance and, more than a desire, I feel the need to write. When that happens and I have a pen and paper (even a receit) or a computer within my reach I can write and write and write during 15-20 minutes and forget about everything (even to breathe). Otherwise, all I can do is try to hold my thoughts and inspiration as tight as I can knowing that it's a waste of effort: They'll soon be gone; and I will remain here. empty. Our Art maintains us in a semblance of freedom but the truth is, it makes us just like it breaks us. The Blessing, the Curse. The Ultimate Gift.

To answer my own question, yes I am an artist. But I believe we all are artists by essence, since God, the greatest artist of all times, created us in his image. So here we are, all gifted in front of the empty canvas of our Lives. We are free to paint whatever we want on it and use as many colors and material as we want. But we have to keep in mind that the canvas does not belong to us. Our Creator gave it to us so that we serve him and one another by creating what we were meant to create: Art. I am not saying that you should go and sign up for oil painting courses or ballet classes, no what I am saying is create Love and beauty in your life. Use whatever talent your hav been given to inspire the people around you, nurture their soul and to quote Kandinsky " improve the spirtual atmosphere around [you]". This is not a right, but a duty. This is how you create a meaningful life and don't end up spending your entire life wondering why you feel so empty and why God seems so far away from you .
At times it will be hard. You will stand in front of the canvas for hours and nothing will happen. Other times, you will feel so enlighten that you'll almost lose your mind. But don't give up and don't be afraid. The Bible says that "The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master"**. Remember that your Master created Life !
